Two Kinds of Wisdom

What decisions do you think you can manage on your own? What kind of decision reaches the level of asking others for advice? What kind of decision causes you to pray? We all desires wisdom, but we need to seek heavenly wisdom, not earthly wisdom. On July 14th, Pastor Brian preached out of James 3:13-17 on the topic of wisdom.

Spiritual Opportunity

On May 26th, Pastor Brian preached on spiritual opportunity with a text of Mark 10:46-52.

Are you calling out to Jesus? What is truing to tell you to be quiet? What needs to happen when Jesus calls you? What do you want Jesus to do for you? What will you do when Jesus does it?

Start to Finish

God shows up in our lives from beginning to end, from start to finish, from first to last, a life of faith.

On May 5th, Pastor Brian launched a series titled “Start to Finish.” Rooted in Romans 1:16-17, the first sermon focused on the topic of faith. Faith is a spiritual gift. Faith is a spiritual journey. Faith doesn’t travel alone.

Part 2 of the series was titled, “Tipping the Scales.” Throughout Jesus’ life, he taught us about love. Jesus’ example of love in John 13:1-5, 34-35. God tipped the scale forever in our favor when He sent His one and only Son to die in our place and raised Him from the dead!

Pastor Brian concluded the “Start to Finish” series on May 19th. The sermon text was 2 Corinthians 8:1-7 and focused on the grace of giving!

Finished?

Jesus’ final words on the cross were, “It is finished.” On Easter Sunday, Pastor Brian reminded us that those simple words communicate the beautiful, exceptional, incomparable power of the blood of Jesus! Jesus was able to do what we could not do. While Jesus’ work on the cross is finished, the saving work of Christ is not finished!

Red Flags of Worry

On April 14th, Pastor Brian unpacked Matthew 6:25-34, which focuses on the topic of worry. In the midst of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus took time to teach about worry. No one is immune to worry, but the Holy Spirit wants to come alongside you in the midst of your worries and anxieties.
